Hey there! So, first of all, congratulations to Auri on Q3MME. I only recently came across it (a teammate mentioned it and I'm upset I didn't find out about it sooner) and was blown away. Easily the best recamming feature I have ever used. But, as much as I love Quake 3 and love doing videos in it, I was hoping to use this great mod/tool/etc. for other Q3 mods that I either play or am involved in (I do videowork for the Smokin' Guns team). Now, I'm not asking "how to get it working with Q3MME the mod" but rather, what's the policy on implementing it into another mod? I figured it'd be best to ask here if there's a "no, you don't get to use it in some other mod" rule or guideline that I haven't found around these parts yet. No matter the answer, hopefully it can help others who are curious. Thanks in advance!

Hey futs, thanks for the congratulations but please send them over to the coder of mme, CaNaBiS. I created this forum and most tutorials and I am there to help people but mme would work without me as well I think. Don't forget his name! And that's also who you should ask for your issue. Ah, thanks for the correction. I guess I should keep track of where I put readme's more often. Well congrats on the forum, though. It's pretty and the tutorials are fantastic. And thanks for the answer. I'll give him a holler some time today. SG is the standalone release of Western Q3, so it's now become a full conversion but started out as a mod. The team currently working on it were fans that picked it up after Beta 2.1 was the last release (some 5+ years ago) and led it, over many years of hard work, to standalone status. It's doing pretty well still!

There are a lot of players for SG. Just download the game and check out yourself I'm interested in the source, too. The only thing I could find was the outdated engine source without the stuff needed for qvms. Now as already said, Q3 is GPL so your code is also GPL'ed. I know that we are meant to ask Cannabis, but he doesn't answer. I sent him messages on IRC and PMs, but still there's no answer. What is the problem about uploading some code into the SourceForge SVN? It doesn't even need to run stable or might aswell have some errors in it. I think the Smokin' Guns team or others are able to cope with that

Never? That's against the rules of GPL. Why do you hesitate? Don't say you've lost the code. Publishing it takes ~5min. I doesn't even need to work 100%.
I already sent Cannabis some PMs and tried to contact him via IRC, but he does not answer. Since you're some kind of friends, please try to get this request to him.

Been some time since the last post here. I've taken a look at QL and I'm not impressed at all. Especially since they didn't release a linux-version right from the beginning. That means, I'm back to Q3 and thus remembered about MME.
So auri, is your "+WE LOST THE CODE" a late addition to the last sentence in your previous post? Or is it already the answer to where the code went? I recently found src.zip, which doesn't include all the cgame stuff, but seems to include quite an up-to-date engine.
So once again I ask; where is the full code? I'm rather certain that it's not lost entirely. There must be some backup of the full code somewhere. If not, would you (or better cannabis) mind to say what needs to be done inside cgame? I've seen some new syscalls for demo-control, but apart from that, how are camera-paths created etc.?

Well, that's what I just did today, once more.. I've continously asked him, PM'ed him. There is 0 response from him.
Now you might say "wait a little". I first asked him in April, now it is September. I think that is long enough. I conclude that I can't talk to him, as he ignores me. So once more I ask you to forward this request to him.

It's me, once more. We now have december and nothing has happened from your side. I'm not eager to spam Cannabis again, since I'm afraid this won't help anything.
I've already said what has to be said, so I'm only politely asking about news again. What's so hard about putting up the source code? Am I'm not being annoying enough?

I haven't even seen Canabis for months. I don't think he still uses mirc. I don't have any way to contact him. Seems like beta 33 will be the last version of q3mme.
