Hi,
Could someone please elaborate on these? I know what r_fbo does but I'm not sure about the related cvars. Will using the video card to create blur using r_fboblur 1 help performance?
I can't see the other cvars (r_multisample, r_fboheight and width) having any effect.
Thanks in advance.

it turns on hardware buffer. if your card does not support it, nothing will happen (ie. it wont work). its open gl 2 based.
it has to be used with offscreen rendering, using also r_fboheight and width.
generally it causes a significant speedup in offscreen rendering.

i have an 8800GT, i've been using it and it seems to work but i don't know if it is actually speeding up things.

r_fboblur should be way faster than just software blur as long as you don't use overlapping and such.

For me it doesn't work at all. I have Nvidia 7300GT card which supports OpenGL2.0, but q3mme crashes after running batch rendering from demolist file. There is no logfile so I can't give you any more info but my settings are:
seta r_fbo "1" seta r_fboBlur "0" seta r_fboMultiSample "4" seta r_fboWidth "640" seta r_fboHeight "480"
seta r_framebuffer "1" seta r_framebuffer_bloom "1" seta r_framebuffer_blur_size "256" seta r_framebuffer_blur_amount "7" seta r_framebuffer_blur_samples "9" seta r_framebuffer_bloom_sharpness "0.75" seta r_framebuffer_bloom_brightness "0.85" seta r_framebuffer_rotoscope "0" seta r_framebuffer_rotoscope_zedge "0"
seta r_bloom "1" seta r_bloom_alpha "0.3" seta r_bloom_diamond_size "8" seta r_bloom_intensity "1.3" seta r_bloom_darken "4" seta r_bloom_sample_size "128" seta r_bloom_fast_sample "0"
I've tried many different values, but it's always crashing. Any ideas?
