hey guys, i got some old demos where one demo contains multiple maps... what happens is mme plays the first map fine but when in the demo the next map is loaded it gets stuck the demos are old cpma demos... maybe someone knows a work-a-round? is there any tool to split my demo so that i can use q3mme? thanks!

Hi. mme splits demos up when loading them. Let's say your demo's name is bla. You already played it. Go into q3/mme/mmedemos. There you should find bla.dm_68, bla.1.dm_68 and bla.2.dm_68 or something like that. Those are one demo for each map. If you want to play the third map for example, you open mme, open the console and type /mmedemo bla.2 and hit enter. Should work like that.

awesome! thank you very much auri, thats a big relief ah, and something else came up... how do i get the frag message to be smaller? i tried mov_fontsize but it doesnt change anyting , maybe i misunderstood the cvarlist.txt but wasnt that command supposed to change the size of the frag message print? if anyone knows how to remove the powerup countdown on the right (once you pick up quad...30 29 28 27, u know) that would be cool too , i guess its a q3config thing or mme related? i dont know. anyways, thanks for helping and sorry for spamming your board but ive read the tutorial/docs and the search function didnt return anything useful... dont really know where else to ask...

Ok you should just have read the cvarlist more carefully. I think this might work for the powerup, don't know for the countdown: cg_drawPowerups [0,1] Show/hide powerups you are holding. cg_centerScale # Size of centered screen messages including frag message. Default is 1.

oh, silly me .. dont know how i managed to overlook that anyways, thanks alot works just fine! My only problem now is that cg_centerscale does not seem to effect the impressive/excellent awards .. so basically i got a tiny fragmessage and above it an oversize rewards which looks really odd. I've been thinking that i should be able to edit the excellent/impressive tgas as to resize them in the pak0.pk3.... any thoughts or other ideas?

You should be able to do that, yes. Just take the file, open in photoshop or whatever, leave the image size the same but make the icon smaller. Or maybe it even works if you just downsize the image.
And then make a pk3 and try that.

Or create/edit a shader for that specific image where you scale the texture coordinates, so much choice!
