hi, im planning to make a cpm movie, with cpm hitsounds . I know there currently isn't an easy way to have them with mme (or is there?) but.. I noticed that mme also plays hitsounds when I'm on camera mode, which is pretty bad for me. I'm up for recording cpma sounds with older mme (POV) but editing out vq3 sounds first and replacing them with cpma ones in camera mode would be just too long process. any thoughts? thx

Yes, my thoughts here:
You cannot replace the hitsounds because they won't properly work in mme (baseq3-based). Replacing them in a movie, sheeesh that would be much work. I have not seen my mate canabis in months so I guess there is no way you will have it built into the next mme version either.
You will have to replace the hitsound with an empty sound in the pk3 file if you want to disable the hitsound of the first person player being heard in camera mode. Sheeesh, that sounds harsh. Wonder why nobody has had that problem before.

just replaced hit.wav with silence.wav (from misc) and it worked out pretty great. thx
