The grenade explosion is quite simple, 100% just the fx, with some basic particles being expelled from the impact (I can explain further if you want). The rocket explosion is more complicated, again there are particles, as well as a larger bright ball (essentially a large, translucent particle) over the standard explosion shader. The debris you mention is more difficult, it will require both a custom skin and model (image and .md3 files) which is then summoned upon by the fx scripts in a similar way to the particles. If you aren't familiar with mme/fx scripting don't try this just yet! I suggest you go to: q3mme.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=428Click the youtube link and download then install as guided. If you want to learn how to customize you can open the .pk3 file and start picking it apart to see how it works. ferbarraes has also compiled pretty much every public script ever written too, which could be useful...
