Hey guys, I was recording some duels lately and plan on making a movie really soon. I downloaded some q3mme scrips i found online (I don't remember that guy's name, but I think part of the fx are from renk's scripts). Anyway... it is really pretty and everything, but sometimes I get some light glitches from explosions. bit.ly/1d9K2Ig You can find it in pretty much any part of the video, but e.g. 2:40 - 2 around the portal area. I will include the scripts at the end of this post. So I am wondering if anyone has a fix for this, would be much greateful www.dropbox.com/s/2i88dbyfy1jf38w/q3mme.fx

Hey slax, you were going to be in the Universe Hunters movie I made but then I remember hearing about your HD breaking or whatever. Quake is a small world eh! I've got nothing much to say here btw. But it's Jones's scripts btw. No script piracy pliz 1:36 grenade exploded by teleporter 1:42 can see buggy decal/light (not sure which) 1:48 bug is gone The problem can be seen again at 2:47, so I believe it's in the grenade script. I took a quick look through the grenade impact (explosion) script and found only one block which could emit anything that could be around after that long. If you look in weapon\grenade\impact{ you will find (at the bottom) the following block. // decal rotate rand * 360 //shader gfx/damage/crack_mrk size 100 Decal I suggest you remove it, or change it to the following: // decal rotate rand * 360 //shader gfx/damage/crack_mrk color 0 0 0 size 100 Decal 3000 the color 000 line specifies that the color of the decal must be black...the last defined colour was orange, so the decal should be drawn as orange (the bug we can see is indeed orange). If you watch some more demos the bug may now appear black? If so, problem located. the decal 3000 line specifies that the decal should live for 3000 ms (which is obviously 3 seconds). The problem seems to happen several seconds after the grenade explodes, so this might solve it. If this doesn't work, could you make a video where you fire a grenade and watch it exploding? I can't be bothered to search the internet for jones's shaders and then install them. Hope it works !
