im making a video for cpma with mme... and ive noticed that my lightning beam is off... its hitting like a foot lower than crosshair is pointed... the wallmarks and flares spawn right on but the beam and impact sprite appear lower, any suggestions would be helpful =] example: kyle.cpope.net/other/lgproblem.jpg

I'm getting the same problem. It happens in first person and in camera / free look. cg_truelightning 1 doesn't fix it either. Here's a clip so you can see, watch the end with the LG. www.cpope.net/entik/fxtest_xvid.aviIs there some way to alter where the beam points to?

same error here.did you try to downgrade to 1.52 or something?that might work properly:) does this error come every time you play the demo? you should try turn convert to mme-demos the real demos or dunno..that might work:) i'll work on fixing this too,if i've got results i'll come tell you:)

I don't know. Perhaps you could try a CPMA demo and see if you get the problem.
Would any FX scripting be able to fix this though?

actually it seems to be due to a different lightning beam that was originally in the demo (probably one of the alternative cpm lightning styles).
my guess would be, you have to make an alternative pk3 with a differently defined lg shader.
it seems the beam is hardcoded in the demo, as oposed to being called via lightning/trail
will discuss the lightning/trail with canabis, it is not called atm in the scripts it seems.

i cant even view my lg beam. alt_lightning and truelightning dont seem to change anything. any ideas?

It's not about mentioned issue but if someone had a problem with LG beam being not visible I advice to turn on muzzle flash by:
seta cg_muzzleFlash "1"
